An MA eligibility review notice is generated on the first Friday of the 11th month of the certification period. The notice states that "some or all of your benefits will end" if a review is not completed by the end of the following month. Do not schedule the review until the month that the review is due. For example, if CARES sends out the review letter on July 7th for a review due in August, do not schedule the review until August.
Do not require someone to witness the signature of an authorized representative when the person signing the review is the same person who signed the most recent application or review.
If the review is not completed by the end of the 12th month (review month) the case will close. The closure notice is generated at adverse action in the review month. See 4.9.3 for deductible review policy.
