The Katie Beckett program tests qualified blind and/or disabled minors for MA. It does not deem assets and income Income is anything you receive in cash or in kind that you can use to meet your needs for food, clothing, and shelter. from the natural or adoptive parents.
To qualify under the Katie Beckett program a blind or disabled minor:
Must require a level of care provided in a hospital, Skilled Nursing Facility ( SNF ), or Intermediate Care Facility ( ICF Intermediate Care Facility ), and
Can appropriately receive this care in his/her home, and
Would be non-financially eligible for MA if s/he were in a hospital, SNF, or ICF.
