Check Firewall SettingsSecured Action - Only available to certain workers

These instructions are to verify the firewall rules from your network to ecf.wicsonsin.gov (ECF View).

 

This process requires admin access to the computer.

Enable Telnet Option in Windows

Click Start > Control Panel.  
Click Programs and Features.
Click Turn Windows Features on or off.
Check the Telnet Client checkbox to turn the feature on and click OK.   The system will install the appropriate files. This may take a few seconds to a minute.

Test Telnet Connection

Click Start > Search bar.   Type "CMD" without quotes and click Enter.

Click cmd.exe to open the command prompt window.
Type "telnet ecf.wisconsin.gov 443" without quotes into the command prompt window and click Enter.

If the firewall port is open, you will see a blank screen. This indicates that the connection is successful.   If the firewall port is not open, you will get a connection failed message (see image).

To find further details type "nslookup ecf.wisconsin.gov" without quotes and click Enter.
