Verification requirements for the second party review process are the same as the verification requirements for normal eligibility determination in FoodShare and Medicaid/BadgerCare Plus. Verification during the second party review process consists of confirming pertinent details of the eligibility determination under review to substantiate the accuracy of the information used.
If a questionable item is found during the course of the review, follow the same verification policy as when determining eligibility.
Note: Remember to use the resources that are conveniently available first, such as data exchanges, KIDS, SWICA, UC etc. to verify/validate information on a case.
