2.1 Using Word Introduction
All IM training documents are written in Microsoft Word and later converted to Captivate. Until 2010, the Word documents were converted to PowerPoint as an in between step. This is no longer necessary since an interactive training can be done in Captivate without converting to PowerPoint.
The drafts and completed Word training documents are stored in the L drive at DHS (See 1.2 L Drive Structure and File Storage Standards).
Standards for creating and writing the Word documents are found in 2.2 DHS Style Guide.
Using screenshots (or screen captures) in Word and Captivate can be error-prone. Standards for using them are found in 2.3 Collecting Screenshots.
Finally, section 2.4 Graphics and Logos contains the standards for using graphics in IM Training.
